Volunteering Brings Special Rewards
Participation in the Silver Anchor Auxiliary is fulfilling, interesting,
and stimulating. For some, volunteering provides and opportunity to interact
with people and make new friends. For others, it is an opportunity to
give something back to the community. The greatest reward is a sense of
giving of oneself to help others.
At Huntington Beach Hospital we believe that each of our volunteers is
special. Annually we host a recognition event to show our volunteers how
much their work is appreciated. Our volunteers are also entitled to a
free meal from the hospital cafeteria after each four hour shift they
work. A commitment of 12 hours a month is customary. We do not offer a
student volunteer program.
